Spine Health and Back Pain Centre - Healing Without Surgery

Healing without surgery

Spine Health & Back Pain Centre is exactly what the name says: treating back pain and musculoskeletal disorders with an integrated approach of physiotherapy, osteopathy, musculoskeletal medicine, exercise physiology and spinal medicine, followed by rehabilitation and maintenance. The core of our treatment protocol is to avoid surgery where possible.

Almost 80% of adults report lower back pain at some point in their lives and 10-15% of all sport-related injuries involve the spine. There’s always a cause for back pain and that’s our challenge. Listening carefully to the patient and taking a detailed case history, our practitioners are able to identify the structure at fault. Using non-invasive manual medicine, we treat and strengthen the musculoskeletal framework, including the joints, muscles and spine. Treatment is designed to affect the body's nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems positively to provide balanced wellbeing. Subsequently, we complement the treatment with a rehabilitative exercise programme.

What osteopathy has done for me

After three treatments, the neurological pain symptoms in my shoulder, neck and arm started subsiding. After a few weeks, I was pain-free.

    Pieter Holland-Muter (33), ex-British Army paratrooper

I've been a patient for about 12 years and the treatments have given me spinal stability, in addition to improving my joint mobility and balance.

    Holly Smith (68), publisher

With regular sessions I’ve maintained my flexibility and the effects of ankylosing spondylitis have been kept at bay.
